How do I know who has subscribed to my blog?
-
I just added the RSS feed widget to allow people to follow my blog. How will I know when someone does that, and is there a way to see how many are subscribed at any given time?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The only way to see RSS stats is to use the Feedburner service. You create and account there and redirect the feeds’ address. It will give you a general overview of the number of subscribers. But I don’t recommend using this, specially if your blog is hosted through WordPress.com. The problem is that you have to remind subscribers to use the feedburner feed. In other words, you will have two rss feeds that readers can subscribe to.
One technique I use is to subscribe to my own blog on Google Reader, since that is the feed reader most people use.
Hope this info helps.

That of course only works if they then subscribe through feedburner. I subscribe to a number of RSS feeds that were trying to redirect me to feedburner, and I just figured out the original RSS feed link and then set that up in my browser, which means my subscriptions would not be counted by feedburner.

How do you even put the thing on your blog so readers CAN subscribe? I have no idea what I’m doing!
