How do I lighten the nav bar text for my shelf theme blog www.lcypatlanta.com?
-
I’ve created a custom background for the shelf theme blog, and the background color is washing out the nav bar text. I would like to lighten the nav bar text color, but am having difficulty figuring out how to code it in CSS. Can you please offer code that will allow me to change the nav bar text color?
Thank you!

Hi there,
If you have the Custom Design upgrade you should be able to edit the CSS to use colors you like. For instance, the following CSS will make the nav bar text white, and then change to blue if you hover your mouse over the links.
nav .primary a { color:#ffffff; text-shadow:none; }nav .primary a:hover { color:#0000ff; }You can find a list of color codes here to help you pick the colors you like.
I hope this helps!

One more question… I’d like to put some more space between the nav bar and my page title “life coaching for young professionals”. Can you tell me how to do this? Thanks!

You might try changing the value of the “top” rule to move the content section a little farther down the page. This would probably do the trick:
body.logged-in .shelf, .shelf {
top:200px;
}
