How do I link Goodread to my widget?

  I have a Goodread widget on my theme and have followed your instructions exactly as prescribed but it still seemed to not link to my shelf. I do think it has something to do with the ID (copied it from the webaddress), but I do not understand how to get the other public ID as explained in your support documentation.
