How do I link my blog to my website?

I hope you can help as I have only just joined today so abit clueless at the moment.
I have started my blog solely to help with my website business. I thought that when I started a blog, I would get a html snippet to embed into my website so it would come up I have a blog on my website. I now realise this is not the case. To advertise my blog on my website, do I simply put my blog link onto my website somewhere or have I missed something and is there something that wordpress provide (like a blog link box) to advertise your blog???

In a nutshell wordpress.com supports artists, artisans and authors only and you cannot advertise and sell it unless you yourself are the creator.
