How do I link my domain I bought through wordpress with wordpress?

    I bought a domain and the upgrade option via wordpress last year. With this year’s renewal, for some reason, the domain is still being mapped to my old hosting account (Hostgator). I no longer have an account with Hostgator and would need to change the DNS settings. Shouldn’t this also be managed now by wordpress? My upgrades don’t expire till June 2015.

    Hi there,

    I see that your domain shouchen.net is currently mapped to WordPress.com. However, it isn’t registered here at WordPress.com — you need to keep the domain registered with your domain registrar. Your domain mapping upgrade just links the domain with your WordPress.com blog. We have more about that here: Map an Existing Domain
