How do I link to other user's creative commons material on Flikr?
-
I’m pretty sure I should be able to use Flikr photos (via the url link provided on the site) under creative commons license (attribution only) – but when I try to use one the uploader gives me a big red x. I’m not making a post about these images (which I can do from Flikr), but using them as an image in a written post. If that’s not something the site permits, that’s fine – I’d just like to know.
Thanks!

The uploader only uploads image files, not links. You’ll need to download the image to your computer first, then upload it in the post.

The Flickr URLs are actually image file URLs, they’re more like a page that just has an image on it.
