How do I locate the version number of my WP blog?

Because WordPress.com is continually being updated and improved, WordPress.com blogs don’t really have version numbers in the way that self hosted sites using the WordPress software from WordPress.org do.
Is there something in particular that you are trying to do that requires a version number?

Every so often I come across a neat feature that states the minimum version number of WP that it can be attached to. I think the most recent had to do with font styles and colors.
I haven’t become adept enough to feel OK about self-hosting so am still using .com.

In almost every situation, anything that mentions a version number is a feature or plugin that apply to self-hosted WordPress sites.
