Hi there. If you see the black admin bar, hover your mouse over your profile picture in the top-right corner. The sign-out link is under the bigger profile picture in the drop-down that appears.
If you see the blue admin bar, click on the profile pic instead. The sign-out link will again be under the profile pic on the page that loads.

Yeah, this is why I’ve stopped using WordPress. You can log in, but you can’t log out. Other web sites see you logged in and force you to comment using your wordpress account (even if you don’t want to do that). You try logging out of wordpress and you get some WordPress dns domain error nonsense about google chrome and firewalls.
God I hate WordPress!

TimeThief, if you are replying to my post, I *found* the “Log Out” button, what I’m saying is that it doesn’t work. It takes me to an error screen, explains that it can’t complete the operation, then follows with a technical explanation about dns, firewalls, and Google Chrome. This is on my Nexus 7 tablet.

tl;dr
Wouldn’t it be easier just to just close my account and hope that WordPress eventually get’s their shit together?
(BTW, WordPress states they are swamped with help requests, so consequently they are only responding to help requests from paying custormer.)

And, what would that solve? Nothing is my answer. You have a browser related issue or connectivity related issue and over 90% of such issues are caused at the blogger’s end of things. So have you tried helping yourself by using any of the information I provided yet? If not, then why not? Whining is non-productive and we cannot fix issues at your end. You have to do that.

I had assumed you were a fellow user trying to be helpful since it says “member” after your name. If that’s the case, thank you for your time, but I’ve seldom found the long and involved procedures offered up in peer-user help forums to be of value. It’s just the company’s (in this case WordPress) faux attempt to pretend they have actual help. If even 1-in-10 comments offered up fixed a problem that would be unusual.
On the other had, and it is confusing here, if you are a WordPress staffer, then I’d expect it to say “staffer” after your name. If that’s the case then you should be embarrassed to offer up such a lengthy and time consuming procedure…it really comes off as pissing in the wind. Reconfiguring, and rebooting, and other browsers, and other operating systems. Anything else? Reformat my hard drive? Any off-planet procedures that I should attempt from Mars?
I must say, that WordPress has a well-deserved reputation for an overly complicated, fragile, and intrusive system. And for blaming the users when the WordPress system fails. And for making it impossible to provide feedback about the system’s problems.
