How do I make a blog post of images (not gallery) open in a carousel?

As a photographer and after trying to use the different gallery options, I much prefer how my photos look as inserted straight into the blog post. However, what I did like about the gallery was that once clicked, the photos open in the carousel with the black background. The horizontal images that are restricted by the width of the page also got enlarged. How can I make the photos inserted into the blogpost into a carousel once clicked? That would be the best of both worlds and show my photography in the best way!

Unfortunately, I can’t think of a way to do this if you don’t want to use the Gallery feature. Is there a reason why you didn’t want to use the gallery? I see if there’s a way to customize it to get what you want!

I don’t like the gallery options- the mosaic makes the photos too small and I don’t like the design of the slideshow. I just want all of the photos in a line as you scroll, with the option of clicking into a carousel. If there would be a way to do that that would be awesome!

Yes that’s possible by customizing the number of images in a column! So what you do is create gallery and add all the images you want. Then switch to the Text Editor and then add this to your gallery shortcode:
columns="1"So an example of this would be:
[gallery columns="1" size="full" ids="1833,1818,1768,1764,1765,1766"]Try that and let me know if you have any questions with this!
