How do I make a page available only to the people I send a link…
-
I want to send the following page to certain people, but I do not want it in my navigation menu. When I make it private, no one can access it. I don’t mind making it password protected, although I would rather not add this step. But if I have to, that’s ok as long as I don’t have to have it in the menu.
Possible?
thanks

Hey Mary,
This is definitely possible. First, we’ll need to specify the pages that you do want to include in the menu by creating a custom menu as explained here:
By default, WordPress.com menus include all pages. However, once you set-up the custom menu and enable it, only the selected pages will be included.
Then, once you have created the menu, you can create your new page. The page should not be included in the menu unless you selected it above. You have two main options:
- You can leave the page as Public. This way, you can email out the URL to whoever you would like. The page will not display in your menu, and visitors will need to have the URL in order to access it. However, anyone with the URL could access the page.
- You could set the page to “Password Protected” and send the password along with the page link.
You can find additional information on Page Visibility here:

Let me know if you have any questions regarding any of the steps above!
