how do i make a ping back on my post for dp challenge? my visual link appears to be disabled. copy and pasting doesn’t work. I’m struggling.

Hi there,
We are having some known issues with right-clicking and then pasting with some browsers in the visual composer right now. Most users have found that if they use the shortcut Command+V (in Mac) or CTRL+V (in Windows) then they are able to paste anyway.
We are working on getting this issue resolved now, however I don’t have an ETA on when it will get fixed. I will let you know as soon as I have any additional information for you!

so, even when I copied the link -letter/number/backslash etc in order – my post is not appearing on the wwc posts???

Oh no, that’s not quite what I meant, I apologize. I just meant the problem with you not being able to paste directly in to the compose window is what we were aware of as being an issue, and that you can get around it by using command+V. From your ticket it sounded like your issue was related to an inability to copy/paste. Is that not the case?

it was two pronged – I cannot copy and past but finally managed to manually write the link.
However, my post does not seem to appear anywhere on the WWC site so getting no hits from the ping back????

Ah. For pingbacks to work properly you need to explicitly set a link (as opposed to just pasting a URL and letting our system make a link for you). I went ahead and converted that URL into a link for you and it is now a pingback on that Daily Post page. You can check it out right here:

thank you so much – sorry to bother you but in ultra simple terms can you tell me how to do that because I ‘time sucked’ about 3 hours yesterday trying to do it and failing miserably.

Oh, no problem! We actually have a help article that explains the mechanics of creating hyperlinks within our system. It has screenshots and everything, so you’ll probably find it easier to follow than if I just rambled at you.

Yes, I tried to make that work but on my blog the link symbol is not highlighted (i.e. I think it’s inactive) and I don’t know how to activate it.
Sorry to bug you but I was trying to make that exact thing work for ages. my theme is 2013.

Hi there!
In order for the link button to become active you need to highlight the text you want to turn into a link. For example, if I wanted the word “WordPress.com” to link to WordPress.com’s home page I would highlight “WordPress.com”, then I’d be able to click the link button in the editor.
