How do I make a second blog on my account anonymous yet still public?

Multiple blogs and anonymity
OK, there are a few similar questions on the forums but I haven’t seen a really satisfactory answer.
Here’s the situation. My main blog, fwordsblog.wordpress.com, is to promote myself as a journalist, so I want people to look at it and know it’s mine. But how do I fix it so that another blog of mine is both public yet isn’t associated with my name? Most of the answers I’ve seen on the forums assume that the blogger wants the blog to be totally private – I don’t want this, I want everyone to see it, just not to know who wrote it. A bit like Belle Du Jour, if you will, (but not as exciting!) As things stand, the same identity is visible across all blogs. Have I really got to register it under a different email address? I’ve already set up the basics of it so I’d have to start again. Why can’t WordPress allow different identities on different blogs under the same account?
Thanks!

If you want to have a separate blog not associated with your fwordsblog username, you’ll need to register a new account with a different email address.
Currently, accounts on WordPress.com must each have their own unique email address and it’s not possible to add additional usernames to a single account.
If you’d like to be able to access your anonymous blog from your fwordsblog Dashboard, you can always add yourself as a user to that blog:
http://support.wordpress.com/user-rolesWhile you’ll still need to log into your new account to post on your anonymous blog, you would then be able to access the Dashboard for both of your blogs from your fwordsblog account.

Thanks for that. Can I ask a supplementary question – having already registered the name for my ‘anonymous’ blog, what’s the best way of moving it over to a new account? Do I have to cancel it from my existing account then register the name again from the new account?
I assume I can’t move the entire thing but would have to set it up from scratch, which is OK as it doesn’t have a lot of content on yet.
many thanks

Sure! If you’d like to have a username that matches your anonymous blog’s URL, we’ll have to set that up for you.
I’ve just sent you a reply in a private ticket so we can get some additional information from you to help get that sorted.
