How do I make a widget that lists certain posts, not necessarily recent posts?

  How do I make a widget that lists certain posts. They are not necessarily recent posts, they are posts that have to do with a particular subject.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Allowed markup: a blockquote code em strong ul ol li.
  You can also put code in between backtick ( ` ) characters.

  I don’t understand what this means.

  You don’t have to. It’s not relevant to your question.

  The answer to your question is, you write it by hand in a text widget. I compose text widgets as draft posts, using the New Post button. Then when it looks the way I want, I click to the Text editor, copy all the code, and paste that in the Text Widget.
