How do I make approved comments show up under the relevant article?

A friend has a wordpress blog and has the discussion showing up under each posting. All I have under each post is a link to comments. How can I get the comments themselves to display? I’ve searched the discussion section but see nothing that does this. I’ve previewed using her theme (20 10?) but on mine the comments don’t show.
I’ve also got a line shows up under each posting that shows not only a link to comments but also tags, which I don’t want showing. Can I get rid of them?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ah, I see! They don’t show on the main page, but if I click on the title to see just that article, they show up at the bottom!! Thank you.
