how do i make it so i don't get an email containing my own blog's new post?

i don’t want to receive an email with my new post. i am not subscribed to my own blog, but i cannot find a place to change this. everytime i post something on my blog, i get an email – just like if i was following it. i do not want to receive these emails. can i change this setting?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Under Settings, there is a section called Email Post Changes. Have you checked there to see if it is enabled? If it is enabled, that may be where the emails are coming from. Hope this helps.

Did you start following your own blog by accident? Look at your admin bar and make sure it doesn’t show you as “Following.” I did that once by accident. Just click “Following” again to unfollow.

Look at the very very bottom of the email, you should fine an unsubscribe link in small print, click on it

I checked all of the suggestions:
– I am not following – the button at the top of the page does not say following
– In the email post changes page, the “enable” box is not checked. Users to email is not checked. I tried to have no email addresses in the “Additional Email Addresses”, but when I delete the address there it comes back on its own. The section that says “post types” has “posts” checked, but it’s the same as the additional email address thing in that when I uncheck this, it checks itself again. Maybe this section is the problem, but I don’t know how to make this section stop checking itself and adding an email address.
– At the bottom of the emailed post, it doesn’t say unsubscribe – it says “Change your email settings at Manage Subscriptions” but when I click on the Manage Subscriptions link, it doesn’t even have my own blog as a subscription
Any other thoughts?

I can’t find any evidence that you, as thebluespruce, is following wiebeprayerforce.wordpress.com. I do see a follower, hwwiebe – is that also your account?
Is the email where you are receiving the notifications the same address you have listed on your settings page (below), or is it a different address?

No – I am not also “hwwiebe” (that’s my in-laws).
yes – the email we are receiving the notifications is the one on our settings page. (email visible only to moderators and staff)
can I just remove that email address or do I have to have an email address associated with the account?
any other ideas?

You do need to have an email address associated with your account, which among other things will allow you to reset your password should you need to so.
If you wish to turn off email notifications, however, you can do so here:
