How do I make my blog title lower-case?
-
In Options, I’ve been able to change wording, but the blog title is in cap-lock.

I guess if I don’t, I can’t! Hey devblog, not to go offtopic on my own thread, but is it possible to ‘re-arrange’ my posts? by that, I mean that I am going backwards and forward at the same time: I posted what I want to be my ‘top’, current post, then added some ‘recent history’ and ancient history’, but now the recent history (the most recent thing I’ve posted) comes up on top.

In a blog the most recent post is displayed at the top in date order. The only way you can change the order of posts is to change the timestamps. If you have a post you always want to keep “on top” then you must change the timestamp every day to achieve this. The css editing upgrade is only for changing the appearance of your blog and not the functionality. http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/about-the-custom-css-upgrade/

Thanks; can I change the timestamp ‘back’ or only forward? In other words, the posts I make now, that I want to appear old…can I ‘back-timestamp’ them, or must I just re-timestamp the one I want to appear most current?
PS..is there a glitch with new posts right now? when I hit SAVE, it navigates me away from page and loses all changes….

Yes but do be aware that the order in which the posts will be displayed on the wordpress.com blog pages will be in accord with the original date of publication of the post.
I’m not experiencing any “glitch” right now. I’m using both firefox 2.0.0.11 and IE7 so I’m wondering which browser and version of it you are using. Also have you done this?
The Cookie Dance
step 1. log out
step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. go back and test -
oops!
edit: The sentence above should read:
“Yes but do be aware that the order in which the posts will be displayed on the wordpress.com global tag pages will be in accord with the original date of publication of the post. -
FYI, cookie dance did nothing for me. When I try to post and hit SAVE or PUBLISH, I get a dialog box that tells me I’m leaving the page and will lose content; if it saves, it tends to to save things messed up.

I use both IE7 and MSN (which I’m told is the same as IE6). I restarted and, while it’s still iffy, it’s working.
-
If I were you I would ditch MSN and download a real browser. Firefox is a smoking hot browser that works well with wordpress.com http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
The answer to your original question is that you cannot change the case on the titles in your blog without the purchase of the css upgrade and the commitment to do the required editing yourself. So now you have the answer is this “resolved”?
Cheers :)
