    Hello @xiao662,

I want to make my featured image appear in the feature content area on my main page. How do I go about doing that?

You theme(Gazette) pulls the featured posts(using Tags) and displays the featured images of the posts that are pulled on the featured content area.

    So to enable this:
    1. First go to your posts page: https://wordpress.com/posts/s, and edit and save all your posts with the “featured” tag or any tag name you want.
    2. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
    3. On the sidebar of the Customizer, click on the Featured Content tab.
    4. On the Tag name field add the name of the Tag that you used on your featured posts(Step 1).
    5. Click Save & Publish.

NOTE: Gazette will only display 6 featured posts on the featured area even if you tag more than 6 posts with the featured tag.

Furthermore, I don’t want my featured image to appear above my post. How should I get rid of it but still keep it on the main page?

You will need to customize the CSS to hide the featured image from the view but still have the featured images on the main page.

Customizing CSS is a part of the paid WordPress.COM Premium and Business plans.

So let us know if you are on any one of these plan so that we can provide you the CSS code.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks! 🙂
