How do I make my separate pages display categorized posts

How do I make my separate pages display categorized posts? I have a main page with a side bar and widgest and I’ve added separate pages, specifically a art page for my art and a journal page for my thoughts. My question is how do I make those pages only show posts I categorize as such? The page options just looks like a new post, but all I want it to do is pull from my front page (which displays all my posts) and when I categorize them as either art or journal to go to also display in those specific pages…I hope that makes sense sorry if I made it sound confusing.

Pages are static and sit outside of the blog structure and you cannot put posts on “pages.” All posts will show on the main blog page. There is no way to exclude posts from the main posts (blog) page. See this support document on the differences between pages and posts.
At wordpress.com, you organize posts by categorizing them and then you can either put the categories widget into the sidebar, or you can create a custom menu and put the categories into the custom menu.
If you do not want all the posts to show on the main page, then you can create a static front page for your site. If you wish, you can also create a “blog” page, but you do not have to if you do not want to.

Sorry I think there is some confusion with my question. Let me try again, Ok so the front page I make posts, and then I tag them as either art or as a journal post using tags. I then want my seperate pages I made (an art and journal page) to only display those tagged posts. The main page will not hide anything it shows everthing, but I want the other to pages to just display the posts. Aka the art page will just show the posts I tagged art. Hope that makes more sense.

No confusion. You want some of your top menu tabs to link to post categories instead of static pages. As tsp said, you need to create and load a custom top menu; instructions in the link he provided.
