How do I make my site exclusive?

  I may make this my Blogging site, but due to family circumstances, I must be sure the only people who can read my material have been approved by me, and my name, etc. is not available to all. I have a big following in Xanga, but it is shutting down. I need total privacy.

  Suggestions? Guidance.

  I am 79 and a low tech guy.

  Set blog to Private

  Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> Site Visibility >> I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose

  Users will need to get their own WordPress.COM account (free) – don’t need a blog either – but a blog will be reserved for their name if they don’t want one to start
