How do I make pages with different topics listed on each page?

I am still having difficulty distinguishing between a page and a post. I want to have categories at the top of my blog. I want to click on a category that takes the reader to a page with several choices IE. cookies…choc chip, peanut butter, sugar, etc…under the category of cookie.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please look at my blog. Under “Clean Eating Dinner” how can I add different recipes so the reader can click the tab at the top and have different choices of recipes?

    Hi there,

Categories can have sub-categories, so that you can create a whole hierarchy just like what it sounds like you’re asking for. The easiest way to do this is to go to your blog’s Dashboard and then go to Posts >> Categories. On this page you can set up all of your Categories and then specify what sub-categories will go where using the “Parent” drop down menu.

I also noticed that your blog has a lot of widgets in the “Circle Text” sidebar. Your theme is designed to only have one widget there, a text widget. You can read more about how to customize your specific theme on its support page, right here:

Let me know if you have any questions!

    amightywp,

Thank you!! This video link helped TREMENDOUSLY! It is exactly what I needed!! I am going to continue with the help for this theme specifically. The directions are so much clearer.

Now I’d like to figure out how to make each recipe in the nice little box shown on the sample. I have to go to work and I don’t want to! I want to work on my blog! lol Thanks again!

That is always the problem . . . you start working on something you love and then you just don’t want to quit!

Well I hope you keep enjoying it, and as they say: happy blogging! :)
