How do I make RSS feeds open in a new window?

  I am using RSS feeds in my sidebar. How can I make these links open in a new window? I don’t see a _blank option available for the sidebar widgets, and I don’t want the feeds to send viewers out of my blog =(

  RSS feeds do not allow for the target=”_blank” option. Unfortunately there is no way around it at present. Maybe when the powers that be update the specs for the next version of RSS we may see a change.

  You would have to rewrite the RSS code that is used here. If you were allowed to do so, it would change it for everybody as well. Please also note that opening in a new window breaks accessability guidelines as well.
