How do I make sure my reader can comment without filling out a wordpress form?
-
Hello Support friend. My goal for my blog is to make it easier for readers to comment. I’ve had a few people tell me that in order to comment they need to go through this wordpress process to sign up with an email. But in my comment settings I did NOT check off the following options. If I didn’t check these off, then why is it still happening to some folks?
Other comment settings
author must fill out name and e-mail
Users must be registered and logged in to commentThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’ve checked your settings and they are indeed set so that someone does not need to provide their email address or name, nor do they have to be logged in to WordPress.com.
In fact, I just left a test response to your most recent post and sure enough, it showed as being an “Anonymous” poster. You can test this yourself by completely logging out of WordPress.com and then visiting your site. You can try posting a comment and hitting “reply” just without filling in any of the fields. You’ll notice none of them say “required”.
Let me know if you have any questions!
