How do I make sure the website address lands on the homepage?

When I use my website address (www.davidrbanta.com) I land on what should be the homepage, but it’s not. It’s the homepage without the slideshow that is on it. So if I then click on the “Home” button, I land on the true homepage with the slideshow running. I need to fix this.

Hi there,
That’s not a problem! All you need to do is specify that you want a static home page (by default our sites assume you want a blog instead of a website, so it displays blog posts on the home page, and since you don’t have any blog posts, it is displaying nothing. We can fix that though!).
What you’ll need to do is follow the instructions in this help article:
As soon as you click save, your site is going to work perfectly!
