How do I make the Baskerville 2 Theme darker?
-
The Baskerville 2 theme suits me better than the one I use now, but it bothers me that I can’t make the white background of posts and pages darker. Is there a solution to that?

Hey, @putoljupka
It seems you’ll need CSS to change the background on the posts and pages in Baskerville 2. The responses from staff that I saw about this were from 2018 (e.g.: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/how-to-change-the-background-color-of-the-entry-baskerville-2/#post-3169770), but I don’t think anything has changed. I poked around in the theme, and l’m still only able to change the main background.

Thanks for the fast and detailed reply.
Too bad it’s the way it is. Dark mode is currently very popular and we should be able to activate it in all themes, even in free plans. -
No problem at all!
I agree about dark mode. I think it’s just that Baskerville 2 is an older theme, but hopefully, more themes get non-CSS customization options to get a dark mode style even on a free plan.
