How do I make the home page a static page?

    Hi there,

    I watched your video tutorial on how to make my home page static, but the ‘homepage settings’ as you have described in the video does not exist in this theme. It should be situated under ‘widgets’ on the left hand section, but instead, I see ‘featured content’ and not ‘homepage settings’. Has this function moved elsewhere and your video was not updated? Please urgently help

    Hi,

    “Homepage Settings” does indeed come after “Widgets” in the menu options at the left-hand side of the Customizer on the Dara theme. Did you eventually find it? I see that your front page is presently a static page.

    Somebody else has tagged this topic for staff attention.

    Hi there,

    I see you’ve since managed to set a front page.

    In case it can help anyone else, the problem is that you didn’t have any pages published on the site at the time you posted this thread. The front page settings only appear in the Customizer if a site has at least one public published page, but not if pages on the site are set to private or still in draft.
