How do I make the images on my blogs reappear?

My organization operates two WordPress blogs. Both contain a number of images, including backgrounds, header, and in-text photos. Images of all three types have, more or less, consistently stopped showing today (all images on one blog, all but the header on the other), and we don’t know why. We have cleared the cache. We have tried multiple browsers and machines. We don’t know what went wrong! Help?

The images have been fixed. The solution was easy — simply re-uploading the problematic files. We don’t know what caused the problem, though. For some reason the files just disappeared. So at this point our problem is solved, but if you have any insight as to what happened or how we can prevent it from happening again, that would be very helpful. Thanks!
