How Do I Manually Re-order/Re-Arrange My Posts?

  • Unknown's avatar

I can’t see where I can change the order my posts appear in. On my site, the date of the post is totally irrelevant, only the content matters. I want to show the content in the order of my choice.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey there,

Posts on WordPress.com sites automatically display in reverse-chronological order. If you want to adjust the way your posts display on your site, you have two options:

    1. Change the publish dates of your posts. Since dates are irrelevant on your site, you can open your post in your editor, and change the date you see in the bottom of the status box (as seen in the link below):

Then, save your change. You can re-order all your posts in this manner.
    2. You can also try out our Display Posts Shortcode. Read through the link below to see if this feature would work best for you:

I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Thanks. Can I put in a suggestion? It seems like it’d be such an easy change to make it so I can re-order the posts, when looking at the ‘all posts’ page. Why not add in that feature, perhaps with a “warning, this will disable automatic newest-at-the-top”.

Hi @selfimmolator: Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve added it to our internal ideas tracker, which we use to weigh up future project ideas based on demand.

Let me know if you have any extra questions.
