How do I move a domain name from another place to wordpress
-
I already use wordpress for my blog on my website that is hosted by dreamhost. My domain name is registered with another company – GKG.net.
My accounts with both dreamhost and GKG are about to expire. I am wondering if I can registers my domain name with you and move my website (which I will redo) to you. And if yes, how do I go about doing it?!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers, so if you want to use an existing domain with a WordPress.com site, you’ll have to keep the domain with the current registrar and buy the domain mapping upgrade from WordPress.com: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#transferring-a-domain-to-wordpress-com
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/If you want to move your self-hosted site to WordPress.com, be aware that you’ll be bound by the Terms of Service of WordPress.com, including the restrictions on advertising and the type of content you’re allowed to post. Also note that we cannot use plugins or custom themes here. You can find a full breakdown of the differences here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Lastly, instructions to move your content from a self-hosted site to WordPress.com are here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-from-wordpress-org
