how do I move a post from one page to another page?

  My blog initially had pretty much all of its posts on the Home page. I decided to create new pages to help organize the content. Now that I have the new pages, I want to move posts that were initially on the Home page onto one of the newly created pages. How do I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi!

  Just to make sure I understand what you’re looking for, you’re trying to setup the following:

  1. A “static” homepage meaning the content will not change. The front page would serve like an intro to your site.

  2. A “blog” page that will showcase all of your blog posts. Instead of being posted to the front page, they would be posted to this page.

  Is that correct? If so, we have instructions on doing that here:

  Yes, your assumptions are correct and I will look at your link and see if that helps.

  My real dilemma is that I already have about 50 posts on my homepage and I want to move them to one of my newly created blog pages. (I created three blog pages and want to distribute my existing posts between them.)

  My question is how do I move the existing posts (one at a time) from my homepage (which I apparently was using incorrectly) and onto one of the newly created pages.

  Thanks for your help with this.

  There can only be one page on your site specified as your Posts Page, where all of your blog posts are located. That page is specified here:

  In short, you would declare which page you want to use as your homepage (usually titled “Home” or something similar) and which one you want to use as your blog page (typically titled “Blog” or “Posts”). You wouldn’t be able to specify three separate pages for your posts to appear on.

  However, if you’re trying to split up your posts based on topic (display all posts related to one topic on the same page), you can do that using category pages:

  You would setup the specific categories and add them to the individual posts. Can you give that a try and see if that accomplishes what you’re looking for?
