How do I move from godaddy domain to wordpress.com. Forwarding or nameservers??

  I wish to move my go daddy domain brucemubayiwa.com to direct to my wordpress.com blog brucemubayiwa.wordpress.com. My content is hosted on brucemubayiwa.wordpress.com. I am not sure where to make the changes. I have made changes to the name serves in Go daddy but my site seems to simply re-direct to brucemubayiwa.wordpress.com. I want to do away with the wordpress part of the name. I am confused about whether I should change nameservers only or also forward and mask. I do regard myself as an above average computer users but I have failed to get this right. and seem to be going round in circles.

  Thank you Auxclass for your quick response. I tried going that page a few times in the past before posting here. I must be doing something wrong.

  I believe the settings I have are correct. Here is some info I have from a wordpress diagnostic I ran:

  We require that your name server configuration include only the following servers or their numeric equivalents:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
  Your name servers are as follows:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
  Accordingly, your configuration is correct.

  There is no primary domain set for brucemubayiwa.wordpress.com. This means that although brucemubayiwa.com will forward to the site, brucemubayiwa.com will appear in the browser address bar. To learn more about setting a primary domain, please see our documentation.

  Go ahead and set this domain as primary for the blog.

  Domain helper is showing name servers for brucemubayiwa.com set to what looks like Godaddy – you should double check the settings with your Registrar

  Setting the Primary domain is covered in the link I posted above
