How do I move/remove 'Leave a reply' link from under title?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi.. new user here and trying to get up and running. I’ve published a few posts but every one of them has got this ‘Leave a reply’ link directly under the title and it’s kind of distracting.
I’ve got no problem with readers being able to actually leave a reply at the bottom of the page but just don’t want the link there and I can’t see how to get rid or move it.
    Any pointers appreciated.
    Cheers
    WW

    Hi there,

Please check below link and let me know if it helps –

Another solution would be to choose a different theme. Most themes have “leave a comment/reply” message at the bottom of posts. The Twenty twelve theme (which is now quite old) puts it at the top.

Thank you for your time Sayali, but no go I’m afraid..

The instructions from this guide are referring to the WP Admin dashboard. You can get to this dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin).

Please note, this option is only available if your WordPress.com account was created before September 7, 2015.

    Only created it yesterday :(

If you want to change the prompt that appears before the comment area (Common defaults are “Leave a Comment” and “What are you thinking?”), go to your dashboard, then Settings -> Discussion, and change the comment prompt to whatever text you would like.

Note that refers to changing the wording of the prompt, not the position of the “Leave a reply” link.
