How do I move to WordPress? from Blogger

  I started blogging about 6 months ago, and I took the easy road Blogger.com. However I have noticed that Blogger is a little unreliable. I use my own domain name which I purchased through Blogger/Godaddy. But like I said it’s unreliable. Usually when I post, and share it on twitter or facebook to generate some traffic, the Blog becomes unavailable. Meaning, if I try to reload, I get a message that google could not find the domain. This happens constantly.

  My questions is, how do I move my domain to WordPress?

  Please be sure you enable this on your wordpress.com blog prior to importing data.
  Settings > Writing

  I just imported my Blogger xml file into my WordPress account and am assured “our file has been successfully uploaded. We will begin processing your import right away.” But nothing’s happened yet. May I know what the process is, and what I should do next?

  (I tried a few years back to import this blog from the button, and again this morning, but the files never fully load.)

  It may take up to 24 hours for the import to complete, and you will receive an email when it is done.

  Have you chacked your email spam filter? What about the site? Can you see any of the imported content?

  The content currently at my site (alicublog.wordpress.com) is the same partially-loaded old content that I managed to import in my first attempt. My recent efforts to import have added nothing to it.

  Does it make a difference that the blog from which I’m attempting to import is an Old Blogger site?

  This happened to me and I discovered that I imported the wrong file. I’m not sure what your problem is, could that be it? Also, why does it take so long to import on wordpress.com sometimes and on wordpress.org it is handled right away?
