How do I navigate between screens

I somehow got into a blue screen with Reader in the top left corner and a few buttons along the top. How do I get back to my dashboard – there doesn’t seem to be a button or simple way to do it.
At the moment I have three tabs open all with the same screen and I don’t know why? How do I get rid of this blue screen, it doesn’t seem to add any value to my experience when I can do more from the dashboard.
