How do I notify my readers of a new post by email?

    Each week when I publish my blog I then have to go to hotmail, create a new email, put a whole bunch of addresses into the bcc box and send. I have set up the blog to automatically notify facebook and twitter, but cant seem to work out how to get it to send to a list of email addresses – help!!

    Hi Rivka,

    In order for an email to be sent out automatically each time you update your blog, your readers will have to Subscribe to your site.

    For visitors who already have a WordPress.com account, they can simply click on the Follow button in their Admin Bar.

    For visitors to your site who don’t have a WordPress account, they will see a Follow button in the lower right-hand corner of your page. Here, they can enter their email address to sign up for updates :)
