How do I obtain a refund on accidental domain name renewal?
-
I accidentally renewed the wrong domain.
Today I renewed two domains correctly (www.rewiringsuccess.com and thewilmingtonfundvt.org).
I INCORRECTLY and ACCIDENTALLY renewed thewilmingtonfund.com as well. I would like that $26 refunded.

Hi,
The domain thewilmingtonfund.com has already been renewed for another year and will expire on 2013-11-20. If you have visitors using that domain to visit your blog, they will no longer be able to get to it when entering that address in their browser address bar.
We don’t refund domain renewals, but I can make a one–time exception.
If we cancel the domain thewilmingtonfund.com, it can take up to several weeks, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again once canceled.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to point to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.
Please let me know how you’d like to proceed.

Thank you for the one time exception. We do not want to use thewilmingtonfund.com as we use, exclusively thewilmingtonfundvt.org.
We like using wordpress for thewilmingtonfundvt.org and will continue to do so.
Yes, please, cancel thewilmingtonfund.com that I accidentally renewed when meaning to renew the other.

Hi Julie,
Thanks for confirming. I’m glad to hear you like using WordPress! :-)
I’ve gone ahead and canceled thewilmingtonfund.com as you’ve requested, and I’ve also sent the refund. You should see it on your credit card statement within 7–10 business days.
