How do I override the UTC?
-
My blog entry from today says December 16th. I’d like it to be accurate for my time zone. I tried changing it to LA (I live in Vancouver, BC), and I even tried changing it to UTC-9. Neither worked. Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The proper setting for Pacific Standard Time is UTC-8 which you can select directly. Don’t know why LA didn’t work. I’ve never chosen a city there.

LA works fine for me – never had problems with several blogs I set up for both myself and for friends –

Hmm… It was at UTC-8 when I went in, but my blog still read the wrong date. I searched through and put Vancouver, refreshed my blog page, but it still says the same day. And yes, clicking “Save Changes” each time. What gives?

Oh, you’re post from yesterday is dated December 16. I forgot. Don’t know. I’ll tag the thread for Staff attention.

Hey there!
It looks like you’ve set the correct time zone for your site now. Your post’s publish date is set to “Dec 16, 2014 @ 0:10”. You can update this publish date and time through the post editor:

Thanks for your help, everyone! Sorry for the delay.. Shawna, sorry, I’m not so clever with all this yet.. How do I access my post editor? I’m not sure what to do with the link you sent me.

Dashboard >> Home >> Posts
Edit the Post and the screen shot @shawnajroberts gave above should be in the upper right corner of your browser window
As long as the Posts are in the correct order I don’t think many of your visitors will notice or care what the actual time / date stamp is

You are awesome!! A few deep breaths and your help and it’s done! Thanks! Yeah, I know it isn’t a huge deal, but this blog is for my baby girl to read when she is bigger, so I wanted it to be precise. Plus, I’m kinda anal. Haha. Thanks again!!
