How do I paste in a previous script with bolding, underlining, font, & coloring all in tact?

The formatting etc will all be lost UNLESS you include HTML tags. If you’re copying from a word processing document, it does not provide those tags, because it’s not HTML. The internet is written in HTML, however, so it cannot execute instructions which are not in HTML.

That’s right. I shouldn’t have given that answer because it only applies in certain cases. How I would copy and paste such text would depend on the access I had to it. If I didn’t have access to HTML code, I would copy it as is and paste it in visual mode. But I’d check the text code to see that it looked kosher before publishing.

There’s a rash of copy paste questions right now, and they’re ALL “It doesn’t look the same as it does in my antique word processing software”. They must be related.
