How do I pay with bitcoin?

  Hi, I’m trying to purchase the domain mapping service (I have already purchased my doman name elsewhere) but I don’t see Bitcoin in the payment options, just credit cards or paypal. How do I pay with bitcoin? I don’t have a credit card or paypal and the fact that wordpress accepts bitcoin is the #1 reason I’m here.

  Unfortunately, bitcoin cannot be used to pay for domain registration or mapping at this time.

  Why not?

  I was told wordpress accepted bitcoin.

  In fact, I just spent hours making a website on wordpress while operating on the assumption that you accept bitcoin.

  I think you should definitely clarify that only SOME of your services (which ones, by the way?) can be paid for with bitcoin.

  From wordpress support:

  “WordPress.com offers a number of paid upgrades, which can be purchased and renewed in your Dashboard’s Store area.

  For payment, we accept all major credit and debit cards, and you can also pay directly through your PayPal account. Finally, we will accept Bitcoin.”

  Definitely doesn’t mention any restrictions.

  We do. However, there are some technical limitation that keep us from being able to offer it for all payments. Sadly, domain registration and mapping are two of the affected products. It is something that we are aiming to solve, but at the moment, we have not.

  I think you should definitely clarify that only SOME of your services (which ones, by the way?) can be paid for with bitcoin.

  I agree with you and will look into getting support documents changed to reflect that.
