    Hi there,

    You can add a custom header photo to your site using your site’s Customizer, in the header section there. (You can get to the Customizer from your My Sites page, by clicking the Customize link under your blog’s name there.)

    If you’d like to further customize how your site’s Nishita theme looks, you can also use Custom CSS to make extensive changes to your theme’s design. We have tips for getting started with CSS here:

    I just want my title at the top and the photo under it. I don’t want the Nishita theme or any other customizer any more. I just want to be able to move my stuff around the site with my mouse. Is that possible?

    Hi Nan,

    WordPress.com doesn’t have the kind of drag-and-drop site builder that you’re describing, where you can move things around with your mouse. Instead, WordPress.com sites all rely on having a specific theme — if you’re not happy with your site’s Nishita theme anymore, you can browse through our theme showcase to look for a new one.

    Since you have the WordPress.com Premium plan, you can also use all of our Custom Design features (including the Custom CSS features I mentioned earlier) to customize your site’s theme even further.

    I can try to help you get the title and photo positioned the way you want them — do you still want the photo to be the background for the site, but just positioned below the title?
