How do I post a poll on my welcome page?

  I’m having difficulty figuring out how to post my poll to the front of my site. I created the poll, but now it’s not visible. How can I remedy this?

  Just to be sure, were you following this guide to post your poll? http://en.support.wordpress.com/polls/

  If so, where exactly were you posting it, and should it be there now?
