How do I post a youtube video?

  I am following the instructions for posting a youtube video and am unable to get it to work. While watching the youtube video, I copied the URL from the address bar, I then pasted it into the visual view of my draft post. I unlinked it. I clicked preview. I just see the url. What am I doing wrong?

  That’s not the post. The problem I’m having is in a draft post. But let me publish it and see if that fixes it.

  Nope. Still not working. Now I have a post with just an address instead of a video.

  The user who posted the video to YouTube has disabled embedding, so you won’t be able to embed it no matter which method you use.

  Oh! So it wasn’t me. Whew! I’ll just find another version that will allow me to embed.

  Could that tidbit please be added to the troubleshooting section of the article on embedding youtube videos? That would have saved me an hour of angst.

  I’ll see about adding it. You can also check on the video itself by hitting the “Share” button, then the “Embed” button. If embedding is not allowed, you’ll see a notice posted there.
