How do I post audio media in M3p format

I tried to add media to a post on my blog. Your instructions for adding audio clearly state that Mp3 is an acceptable format. With great difficulty, I managed to convert my audio (a song I recorded) to Mp3 format, and when I went to insert it, I got an error message saying that format was not acceptable due to something or other concerns. This is INFURIATING!!!!! I went to all that trouble…….. FOLLOWING your instructions, only to be told “up yours” in the end! What gives??????????????????

Do you have purchased the space upgrade?
You cannot upload audio files or music without the space upgrade.

So why did it SAY that Mp3 was an acceptable format for media upload in the “new” WP version? Very mis-leading :(

It’s an aceptable format.
But you need the space upgrade for upload audio files (.mp3 .ogg etc.) from your computer.
