How do i post polls in my blog??

Having same problem as everyone else. Can’t get poll on my blog. Am going to try what Ali147 said to do, but it sounds over my head.

You know, a search of the support pages for “polls” will bring back this http://support.wordpress.com/polls/ which explains it. I followed the directions in that and created several test polls and inserted them into my test blog (in posts, pages and the sidebar) with absolutely no problems.
The support pages are full of very useful information on virtually every aspect of using wordpress and its features.

Reposting my original reply as well – since some people seem to think that links to existing replies aren’t replies…
If you made the poll via the button in the editor of a post or a page, it will show up in that post or page once you click “Send to Editor”. If you made it via Dashboard > Polls > Add New, it can’t show up anywhere unless you paste it somewhere.
Polls > Edit: click “HTML code”, copy shortcode, paste in post, page, or text widget.

The poll I created automatically with “poll daddy” on the wordpress dashboard is not posting. What could be wrong? I don’t see the option to insert html…

The option to insert HTML is simply the HTML or Code tab above the box where all your text goes. Just click to the HTML editor and paste the code in there.

I have read all the replies however when I click on the html nothing happens.

Yea, the same thing happens to me reportingafrica. My html code isn’t opening anything. I put the widget in and is ready to paste but when i click on the html code nothing happens. can someone please help us.

reportingafrica, i figured it out. you have to just add the poll to a post and take that link that’s inserted into the post and copy and paste it into the text widget. Just add the text widget by going to widgets and add it into your side bars. it worked for me

So My poll is created. I have options like EDIT, RESULTS,DELETE,CLOSE, PREVIEW, HTML.
I need to click on html so i can copy and paste it into my blog, but when I click on HTML it does nothing! when I click on the other options it works….just not the html button. What next any suggestions? -
@ maybells: Try via the post editor: click Poll button, click “Send to editor”.
