How do I post text on the blog post page (above the posts)?

    Working on customizing the CSS (yes I do have the upgrade) on an Oxygen theme (www.lumencommunities.com). Is it possible for me to have text appear before the posts on the page where my posts are published. As is (on the page I’m working on), the text on the page disappears and the posts/image publish only. How can I override this with the CSS. I’ve had no luck so far.
