How do I post to another web log?
-
I apologize if this has been asked before but I haven’t seen it in my searches (that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist) but I just can’t find any thing to help with this. And while I’ve had this account for a while I haven’t used it much until lately. So I’m still relatively new to this setup. Any way..
My professor said that he made me an administrator to the web log that he setup for the magazine we’re making. But I honestly do not see a place where it says, “Post to …..,” or something along those lines. Maybe I’m missing something.

Link on the Dashboard page you see when you log in labeled “Write a post”
Also the Write tab along the top.
What do you see when you log in?

I don’t see any link on the dashboard page near ‘write a post’. It’s just a simple link that goes to my wordpress page.

Perhaps these will help. There are 4 beginner’s tubetorials on writing and editing posts and selecting themes. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=11280

What’s the url of “my wordpress page”?
Why do I get the feeling that you’re not added to that blog?
-
Be aware that if one is a blog hosted at WordPress.com and the other is a blog using WordPress software but hosted elsewhere, your login here won’t be the same as your login there. You will need to go to that blog and click on Log In or go to the login URL directly, like http://www.mymagazine.com/wp-admin (ie the URL of the blog, with /wp-admin added on the end) and then sign in with the info that your professor gave you, ie Username and password.
If they are hosted on separate places, that blog will not show up on your Dashboard here.
