How do I post to different pages?

I set-up several pages on my blog and would like posts to display on specific pages. When entering a new post it always goes onto the home page. How do I post to a specific page, or move an existing post to a specific page?

You only have the one page for posts. To put one of your posts onto a page, copy it in html, the paste it on the page. If you delete the original post, it will no longer show up in your archives, though. And the “post” you pasted into a page is then no longer a post: it’s part of a page.

Perhaps you are not yet clear as to the rationale behind pages – see here:

    A Post and a Page

What you’re asking for is possible, but complicated for a beginner. Arranging your posts in subject sub-groups is the function of Categories.

And please give a link to your blog when asking questions, and/or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky “8 Things to Know”.

    barterpro,
How to make your name link to your blog:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one. (or guess at your blog)

Thanks for the info! I updated my profile with the address of my blog – http://www.barterpro.wordpress.com. I haven’t posted much yet, but will organize the blog and start posting tonight.
