How do I prevent reformatting?

    I am a new WordPress user but have created sites using HTML for many years. I was initially very impressed with WordPress and even paid for some extra features. I am using WordPress on your site and am not self-hosted Now I find that WordPress insists on reformatting my pages without my permission! This, as I am sure you know, is extremely frustrating since so many other users have commented! How do I get WordPress to leave my format alone whether in visual or text editor mode??

    I’m sorry your experience with WordPress.com has been frustrating. Can you give me a link to a page that’s being reformatted and a description of what’s being changed? That will give me a better sense of what’s going on so I can help further. :)
