How do I prevent widowed text?

    Hello,

    I was wondering how to prevent orphaned or widowed text on my blog site? Unnecessarily hyphened words are my biggest pet peeve and I tried to rectify it by adding extra spaces between some words within the “text” section, but that is not a universal fix across all browsers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Correct, and that is the problem in a nutshell. There are so many combinations of browsers, operating systems, devices, screen sizes (esp. with smartphones in play) that it is really impossible to do what you are asking.

    I come from a printing background as well, so I can sympathize with you here (they drive me insane too) but the internet is a place where you just have to grin and bear it I’m afraid.
