how do I publish new pages?

  Hi
  Tried to create a new page but unable to publish. It says I need to confirm email address but can’t find the the WordPress email to do this in my ibox. Also have requested confirmation email to be re-sent several times but nothing is happening. Bit stuck now. Help please, thanks.

  There is no email. Have checked spam, promotions, social, both email accounts. Nothing. This is very frustrating. Why is there a need to confirm email in order to publish a new post/page anyway? Getting irritated and may well give up.
