How do I put a facebook "like" button (to a specific page) in my header/sidebar?
-
I can get the “like” button at the bottom of each individual post, but I want readers to be able to “like” a specific FB page I have set up that parallels my blog. I’d also like that “like” button to be much more obvious, say at the header of the page or on the sidebar.

A Facebook Like button can be enabled via Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard, but unfortunately it cannot be re-positioned or redirected to a specific page.

Thanks for the followup. I’m trying to get the facebook “badge” in my sidebar text widget. I follow the instructions on your support page but it doesn’t show up. I dig a little deeper on your help tree and I’m told:
“Why doesn’t the code I pasted into my widget work?
For security reasons, we do not allow directly embedding code from third-parties. This include JavaScript, iFrames and Forms. However, we offer a much simpler way to embed most kinds of content. Go to the Widgets help page to learn what widgets are availalbe and how to embed them.”The widgets help page just redirects me back to the “how to make a facebook badge and put it in your sidebar” page… wich doesn’t work.
And around and around we go.
What’s the workthrough to this?

I get the code and put it in the text widget just like the instructions say… and nothing comes up on my page.
